Mid-Century Modern style was a natural continuation of the Art Deco. It mainly refers to the design period of 1950s and 1960s. Neat straight lines with minimal decoration — functionality of the items and simplicity of design were the key elements. Due to the shortage of resources in Europe, the style was also manifested in the popularity of small scale products.
Facts of Lavish Good to know — the main reason for decanting port and sherry is to remove the sediment that builds up in a bottle. The wine can be decanted through a filter too.
